Twin States Federal Credit Union has been serving the people in our field of membership for 45 years. It was chartered in 1964 as General Tire Federal Credit Union, later changed the name to GenCorp Employees Federal Credit Union in 1993, and finally to the current name in 2001. Membership has been expanded to cover everyone living, working, attending school, or worshiping in Lowndes County Mississippi & Pickens County Alabama.

We have the following services:  Savings, Checking, Overdraft Protection, CD’s, Debit Cards, ATM’s 24 hour Cash, Home Banking internet service, Auto Loans, 1st & 2nd Mortgages Services, Student loans Services and many others

Your membership begins with a “share” account, the basic savings account.  Your initial deposit and maintained balance of $25 is your lifetime membership with Twin States Federal Credit Union (TSFCU).  Your “share” deposit is your “ownership” in the credit union. Your membership gives you the voting right to elect the credit union’s volunteer directors from the credit union membership. Annual shareholder meetings are held each February.

The credit union is regulated by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA).  NCUA is a Federal Agency that insures the members’ deposits up to $250,000 and performs an annual examination of the credit union to ensure safety and soundness of the operation. Our Supervisory Committee is responsible for an annual outside audit conducted by an independent accounting firm and verification of the members accounts.
